EvermixBox is built primarily for DJs but is just as useful for livestreamers and content creators who want professional-level audio capture.
3. Can I use EvermixBox without any technical background?
Yes! It’s plug-and-play and works with minimal setup. Just connect, open the app, and record.
4. How is EvermixBox different from recording directly on a phone?
It records audio directly from your DJ mixer’s output - so you get clean, distortion-free sound without crowd noise or mic interference.

1. Is EvermixBox compatible with iPhone (Lightning and USB-C)?
Yes — works with both Lightning and USB-C iPhones using the correct Evermix cable. The Evermixbox5 comes with the USB-C cable included. Users of iPhone 14 and earlier will need to purchase the DIN to Lightning cable which is available to buy as a separate accessory.
2. Does it work with Android devices?
Yes — works with most Android phones that support USB-C and OTG (On-The-Go).
3. Can I connect EvermixBox to a laptop or desktop computer?
Yes - via USB-C or with an adapter for USB-A.
4. Does EvermixBox work with iPads or tablets?
Yes - especially those with USB-C ports or compatible adapters.
5. What apps can I use with EvermixBox for recording or livestreaming?
You can use the Evermix app (iOS/Android), plus third-party apps like Instagram Live, YouTube Live, Twitch, OBS.
Setup & Usage

1. How do I connect EvermixBox to my DJ mixer or controller?
Use the included RCA-to-RCA cable from your mixer’s Rec Out or Booth Out into the EvermixBox.
2. Do I need any special cables or adapters?
You’ll need the correct phone cable (Lightning or USB-C) and RCA cables. USB-C & RCA cables are included as standard. Extra cables can be purchased separately.
3. Is there a setup guide or tutorial available for first-time users?
Yes — tutorials and guides are available on the Evermix website and YouTube.
4. Can I use EvermixBox to record and livestream at the same time?
Yes — the new Evermix app allows you to record your performance whilst at the same time live streaming it.
5. Does EvermixBox require an external power source?
No - it draws power from the connected device. iPhones equipped with Lightning can also charge via passthrough if the Evermixbox is plugged in to an external power source via the mini USB port (power cable not included).
Audio Quality & Features

3. Can I control or adjust the recording volume in the app?
No - you manage the volume via your mixer. The new app will have EQ & normalisation for post-recording.
4. Why won’t recording start unless there’s a sound signal?
It’s a space-saving feature — recording begins when audio is detected.
5. How long can I record in one session?
As long as you have storage space on your device.
Livestreaming

1. Can I use EvermixBox for livestreaming DJ sets on Instagram or YouTube?
Yes — with apps that support external audio like Instagram Live, YouTube, Twitch, etc. The new Evermix Pro app also allows you to connect to your streaming platform accounts from within the Evermix app to allow you to simultaneously record the audio.
2. What should I do if the livestream audio isn’t working?
Double-check app input settings, cable connections, and volume levels.
3. Does EvermixBox work with my phone’s camera app for recording video with audio?
Some camera apps do support this; for best results, use Filmic Pro or similar.

Evermix Pro App

1. Is recording still free?
Yes. Recording and exporting audio remains free.
Evermix Pro unlocks additional features such as livestreaming, video recording, editing tools,
and direct uploads.
2. Why are some features now part of Evermix Pro?
We’ve rebuilt the Evermix app from the ground up with many new features and improvements. Developing and maintaining a more powerful app comes with ongoing costs, so some advanced tools are now part of Evermix Pro.

The subscription is designed to be a small monthly fee that supports continued development. In return, you get access to the full suite of Pro features, including livestreaming, video recording, editing tools, direct uploads, and more.
We’re also continuing to add new features and partner exclusives, so the Pro Plan features will keep growing over time.
Recording and exporting your mixes will always remain free.
3. Where are my mixes from the old app?
Your mixes are saved locally on your phone. The app will scan them and automatically import.
To manually import them head to;
Recordings → Import → “On My iPhone” → Evermix Folder → Recordings
Select the mix you want to import and tap Open.
If your mix does not appear, force close and reopen the app.
We’re aware of an issue where mixes that have been manually deleted reappear when the app is reopened and automatically scans. We’re currently working on a fix.
4. What is included in the 30-day trial?
The trial gives you full access to all Evermix Pro features, including:
● Livestreaming
● Video recording
● Editing tools
● Direct uploads
After the trial ends, you can choose whether to subscribe to continue using Pro features.
You do not need to add payment details to start the trial.
5. Do I need an EvermixBox to use the app?
The EvermixBox provides the best audio quality and plug-and-play recording directly from your mixer.
However, the app can also work with compatible audio interfaces.
6. Can I record and livestream at the same time?
Yes.
You can livestream while recording, and the stream will automatically save as separate audio and video files after the broadcast.
7. Can I upload mixes directly to Mixcloud or SoundCloud?
Yes. The app includes direct upload tools, allowing you to publish your mixes to Mixcloud or SoundCloud without leaving the app.
8. Video is lagging
If your video appears laggy, try lowering the video settings:
Video → Settings → Reduce video quality
This should improve performance.
9. I can’t log in - I’m not receiving the SMS verification code
We’ve now updated the app so you can verify your account using either email or SMS.
If you are in the US or are having trouble receiving the SMS code, please choose email verification instead — both methods work the same way.
Make sure you update to the latest version of the app from the App Store or Google Play to access this option.
10. How do I subscribe?
Subscription options become available after your 30-day trial period.
To subscribe, simply select one of the Pro features (such as livestreaming, video recording, or direct uploads) and the subscription options will appear.
11. I’ve found a bug. How do I report it?
Please report bugs or feedback via the Typeform link so our team can review and fix issues quickly.
12. The app isn’t working properly
We’re continuing to improve the app and release updates regularly.
If you encounter any issues, please submit them via the Typeform link, along with any suggestions that could help us improve the experience.
Important notes
● Do not delete the app without backing up your mixes.
● If you update the app normally, your mixes can still be imported from your device storage.
● Deleting the app may remove locally stored recordings.
Troubleshooting & Support

1. EvermixBox is connected but not recording — what should I check?
Check your cables, app permissions, and that there’s audio coming from your mixer.
2. Why is my audio too quiet or too loud?
Adjust output volume on your mixer.
3. I only hear static or background noise — how can I fix this?
Check for loose cables, incorrect output routing, or low-quality RCA leads.
4. How long does customer support usually take to respond?
Typically within 1–2 working days.
5. Where can I find tutorials or customer support resources?
Visit the Evermix Help Centre or YouTube channel for guides and support videos.
