How to set up and use your EvermixBox5
1. Download the App
- Search for Evermix in your device’s App Store (Google Play or Apple).
- Allow microphone and storage permissions when prompted.
⚡ Note: A brand-new (free) version of the Evermix app is coming soon with improved performance, USB-C iPhone support, and more intuitive features.
2. Connect Your EvermixBox5
Important: Connecting the DIN Cable
- The DIN connector has 8 delicate pins that must align perfectly with the port
- Hold the plug so the 3 pins are at the top (horizontal).
- Line them up with the 3 horizontal holes at the top of the socket.
- Insert straight and gently - do not force or twist.
- Avoid pushing at an angle, which can bend the pins.
✅ Tip: The connector is durable when aligned properly — take your time to avoid damage.
RCA Connections
- Use the RCA cables to connect from the REC OUT / BOOTH OUT of your mixer to the EvermixBox5.
- Push firmly until you feel a secure fit. If loose, try swapping outputs on your mixer.
3. Power & Charging
- The box runs from your phone (low power use).
- Micro USB port = power only (not audio).
Charging rules:
- iPhone Lightning → ✅ can charge (via micro USB passthrough).
- iPhone USB-C / Android USB-C → ❌ no charging via Evermix. Use a MagSafe battery pack or USB-C adapter.
4. Open the Evermix App
- Launch the app - your box should auto-connect.
- Select your recording format:
- Single stereo input: WAV (lossless, studio-quality).
- Dual stereo input (using both inputs): AAC 320 kbps.
5. Check Your Levels
- Play a track and adjust the output volume on your mixer.
- The app’s level meter should sit around –3 dB (not in the red).
6. Press Record & Mix!
- Hit the Record button.
- Your mix will be saved to your phone in the format you selected.
7. Share or Upload
- Use the app to edit or share your mix directly to:
- SoundCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, Mixcloud and more.

Does the EvermixBox5 need external power?
No - it runs off your phone and uses very little battery.
Will it charge my phone?
- ✅ Yes, on Lightning iPhones (via micro USB passthrough).
- ❌ No, on USB-C phones (use a power bank if needed).
Why DIN cables?
DIN ensures a reliable audio connection - unlike USB-C, which doesn’t always support charging + audio at the same time.
